LAURA LITTLE CURATED: What do you design? / Create?
DUSTIN BARZELL: I make limited edition, playful and functional pottery.
LAURA LITTLE CURATED: How long have you been creating?
DUSTIN BARZELL: I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember but the medium has changed over the years. I started working with clay in high school, but returned to it with obsessive force about a year and a half ago. It’s been good to me.
LAURA LITTLE CURATED: Who’s a iconic inspiration to you? Why?
DUSTIN BARZELL: Fred Armisen. He tickles me.
LAURA LITTLE CURATED: What are you wearing? and by whom?
DUSTIN BARZELL: I only wear Armani when I’m on the potter’s wheel.
LAURA LITTLE CURATED: What is the last album you listened to?
DUSTIN BARZELL: The Smiths complete on shuffle. I’ve been on a Morrisey kick since summer ended.
LAURA LITTLE CURATED: What are you reading?
DUSTIN BARZELL: Just finished Phil Lesh’s memoirs on the Grareful Dead. I recommend it.
LAURA LITTLE CURATED: If you could say one thing before death what would you say?
DUSTIN BARZELL: “TTFN.”
